Mount Juliet is a wonderful town located in western Wilson County, Tennessee. It serves as a bedroom community for Nashville; many residents work in the city but love to come home to Mount Juliet’s cozy small-town atmosphere. According to a special census in 2006, Mount Juliet’s population is estimated to include about 21,000 people, an increase of nearly 75% since the year 2000.

The 2005 estimated median family income in Mount Juliet was about $65,600, while the estimated home value in the city was $166,600. Due to its location near Old Hickory Lake and Percy Priest Lake, as well as Long Hunter State Park, the community enjoys a wealth of outdoor recreational opportunities, as well as lovely natural surroundings. Like the rest of Wilson County’s communities, Mount Juliet enjoys a highly rated school system: the city has seven elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school. Mount Juliet is home to the Villages of Mount Juliet, one of the largest mixed-use real estate developments in Middle Tennessee. The first phase of a community called “Providence,” mixed-use residential and commercial, opened in 2006. When completed, this subdivision is expected to nearly double the city’s population and create thousands of new local jobs.
